yay for goodwill! so during the great unpacking of 2010- and pretty much any other packing/unpacking that we do- there was a fair amount of 'fallout'...i usually donate the purged items to goodwill and i always figure that since i'm there, might as well fill the new void right? hahaha...i think sammo would disagree from time to time but i digress. well, i came upon these old nasty chairs...great bones but could use some razzle for sure and the price was soooo right at 5.99 each. so here's the before and after...
sammo got a little overzealous before i could take the before photos...there's something about spray paint cans...he can't stand not trying it out asap, haha. so use your imagination, there was no blue on the chairs when we bought them. they did smell like onions for some strange reason, weird right? anyway, i wanted a turquoise-ish blue because i've got it in my head that it'll feel right for every season. goes well with oranges during fall, cooler tones for winter and spring/ summer are a given :] we recovered the seat with some white vinyl from the craft store and i'm lovin these two!
so in addition to my little chair makeover, i also finished 2 more layouts with the studio calico october kit...can't show the whole enchilada but i can give you a taste...
did i mention how much fun i'm having with this one? oh! and in my big box of sc goodies, i got their new release 'elementary'...love it! here's a sneak of that project :]
hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! hugs, kins
