it's reveal time y'all!!! i'll be honest. when i saw pics of this kit, i thought it would be a challenge for me. the colors weren't what i would pick for a layout on my own. and you know what?! i got it in person and i fell in love. i'm actually keeping this one intact (i usually bust them up after i finish my los) because i know that i'll be using it again. the last time this happened was with granny's cupboard...remember that one?! oh my. favorite still.
anyhooooo, before i get off track. here are my layouts for this month...
this one was my main kit only layout. i got the sunburst idea from a magazine ad that had a half sunburst in the left margin (can't for the life of me remember which mag though). i used the twine in lieu of stitching and love how it looks. another fun thing that i'll be repeating again for sure- using glassine behind diecuts. LOVE.
i think this one is my favorite from this month. i love text based anything so this one has my heart :) i created the cut file in the silhouette software and cut it out of my background cardstock and then backed it with different patterned papers. i used only the santa monica add on for this one.
this one is an anomaly for me...it's one of the very few layouts that i've just "gone with"...no sketch. no plan. no direction. fast. i was really emotional about this one and came really close to chickening out on posting it to the gallery...seriously, i had another layout lined up. it's kind of cool to see how the layout (which is really messy- for me) mirrors the stress of that week and a half. i used add on 4: venice beach for this one + the buttons from the main kit :)
