Hey everyone! I know that I'm super late to the reveal party this month- we had a family emergency last week so I'm just now getting to post my Antiquary creative team projects to my gallery and here on my blog. I just wanted to take a quick second to say thanks so much for all the sweet emails and messages over the last several days, it meant so much to me. I'm so happy, relieved and grateful to finally be back in our normal groove again and I'm really looking forward to getting caught up on everything that got put on hold last week and super excited about the prospect of an uneventful and completely mellow weekend that involves an obsene amount of laziness, movie watching, and comfort food... Can you tell I'm ready for the weekend??? Hahaha :)
I absolutely LOVED the colors this month and I'll be the first to admit that I'm hoarding that plaid patterned paper. I ended up ordering the Antiquary SB, Card, & PL (main kits), as well as the stamp set add on, Rome (SB add on kit), and Dublin (PL add on kit).
I actually planned to use a couple of the Handbook page protectors for this spread because a) our 27th week was light on the photos, b) I haven't used them in my PL album yet, and c) because I'm seriously considering downsizing to the Handbook albums for my 2014 PL because let's face it, I'm the worst at remembering to take pics of the random stuff we do and I'm positively brilliant at avoiding the photo processing part of it, ha! Ultimately, I had to move up a size or two in the page protector department because I always like to have a few empty pockets for the 'eye candy' type filler cards. I ended up using 2 of the Becky Higgins 6x12 Design H pages (love them) and they were a perfect fit!
I recently saw a few interview based layouts on Pinterest and instantly fell in love with the idea...and then once I finished the layout, I regretted not starting this 11 years ago for Beez. Better late than never I guess...
Almost all of the interview/Q&A layouts I found online featured large scale questionnaires with the answered questions front and center which I love, however, Beezy is going through a highly dramatic pre-teen phase right now so I decided that a hidden journaling approach would be best. I made an envelope with a few of the patterned papers and then designed a set of 3- 4x6 inch, custom questionnaire cards for Beezy to fill out herself- I love having bits of her handwriting in our albums and BONUS! they're awesome for the PL albums too! [Heads up- the questions are geared towards Brianna's interests and are girly, so for all you mamas of boys, feel free to leave boy-based question ideas in the comments below so I can make a boyish version for you guys to download as well]
Here's a closeup of Brianna's interview (you can download the PDF by clicking the link under the photo):
Enjoy! and please link me up when you use them so I can check it out! :)
ETA: for some reason this one isn't showing up in my SC creative team gallery but it is in my member gallery (the Hula Hoop link above will take you to it). I emailed Samantha about it so hopefully we'll get that sorted out soon :)
I used the lace cut file that I designed for the digi shop this month on this one and cut it out of watercolor paper, then slapped splotches of watercolor all over it and blended everything together to make a tie dye-ish effect (happy accident). I used the same water colors on the wood veneer pieces as well to tie everything together.
This one was inspired by Minecraft- Brianna is obsessed- and since Katniss Everdeen is "the girl on fire" I tried to make the background look like pixelated fire with patterned paper and watercolored paper squares.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
PS. "happy hunger games, and may the odds be ever in your favor." :)
